Wine tasting and wine trails
The Burgundy wine region stretches over 250 km long, from the north of Chablis to south of Macon. If you are on the Route du Soleil runs, you will see the vineyards right from the highway. A well known address is the wine cellar of Le Grande Cave de Pierre Laforest. Grande Cave de Pierre Laforest is a large winery with a visitor center on the N74 between Beaune and Dijon. Route de Grand Crus
This tour consists of two sections where you can enjoy the beautiful vineyards. The first section starts from south of Dijon to Corgoloin (Côte de Nuits). On this stretch of the route you get many red grand cru wines at as Clos de Vougeot and Chambertin.
The second part of this wine route goes from Ladoix-Serrigny (just below Corgoloin) to the slopes of the Maranges (Côte de Beaune). This part of the wine route is precisely known for its fine Chardonnay wines such as Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne. In total, this route covers about 67 km.
Bicycle rental in Beaune to cycle along the wine route
If you are in Beaune you should rent a bicycle or e-bike to take you down the narrow roads around Beaune and ride through the vineyards of Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. If you walk to Beaune station by the Avenue du 8 Septembre towards the city center, on your right bike you will see bike rental Bourgogne Randonnees. Good English is spoken here and and are keen to help you on your way.
